ducking traffic

as i was driving to school this morning, something strange but kinda cute happened. after i get off the freeway exit, i have to drive up treat blvd for a while ~about 10-15 minutes. towards the end, it becomes hilly but the cars are still driving pretty fast. so, i was driving up this hill following other cars and we were going about 40-50 mph. all of the sudden, the cars in front slammed on their brakes and stopped. luckily, nothing happened. but i thought the first car had died or something was wrong with the car. so as i pass all the traffic, i look to see what was going on. it was a little duck crossing the street~! it was all by itself and didn't look like it was full grown. how scared it must've been. anyways, just thought i would share that.

switching to another subject...how do you motivate children to care about their learning?? my master teacher and i were talking about this today. lately, the kids really don't seem like they care about their education. so hard~
