They found my car in richmond on thursday. I was at school and couldn't make it in time before the office closed. So I figure I would just get it the next day. Getting the car back was such a big hassle. I had to go ten different places (okay, maybe a little less) and it practically took all day. I could've spent that time doing other stuff like shopping or cleaning...things I usually do after finals. Anyways, first I had to go to the San Pablo police station where it was reported. This didn't take that long, except the lady was hard of hearing. I had to repeat my plate number so many times and she still didn't get it. After that, I had to go to the Richmond police station. It's a strange office. Right when you walk, there's a few steps, then a large bullet proof window with little speaker mic things. Behind the window, there's people working but they don't acknowledge you're there. Finally someone came and took my paper to do whatever they do with it. The office directs me to the towing company which is in a different part of town...near Contra Costa College. The directions said it was next to a Shell station, but there was no more shell. After driving around, finallky get to the gas station/ towing place. The lady is trying to be nice and sympathetic and tells me how it sucks that they make you pay for the towing fees on top of everything. What towing fees?? Yep, it came out to $300. THey charged 50 bucks too much, so I paid $250!! What a waste of money. To make it worse, they store their vehicles in a different location than where I was at. So the last stop was at this small alley with nothing but abandoned warehouses. Of course, they guy wasn't there to open the door and had to wait for him to come. Anyways, I get the car back...it's filthy and everything is gone. There's bird poop everywhere...inside too. I didn't even want to sit in it. Seriously, there was even crap on the seats. I took the only thing left in the car, window shade thing, and sat on it. After everything....I don't know if I should be happy or sad? My dad still wants to drive it if there's nothing wrong with it. =(
