happy valentine's day~
It's just another day invented by hallmark...but I do hope everyone has a good Monday. We should always remember the greatest love of all...who gives us life and hope. He is really the greatest love who makes all things possible.
So this weekend was our day in Monterey. Thanks John! The weather was perfect...so the drive there was really nice, even though I was a little sleepy (I'm getting over a cold). But the area around, cannery row, is really nice and it has a historic feel to it. There were so many interesting things at the aquarium. First, we went to the Tide Pool area. I think there was a wild sea otter there because it swam into the ocean after a while. We saw the feeding of their sea otters. They're really picky about what food they eat. According to the employees, they grow up to eat whatever their mom ate and gave them as a pup. They eat over 50 types of seafood and none of them are fish. So a bunch of seafood was dumped into the tank and they would pick out what the liked. We also saw the feeding at the Kelp Forest. It's a huge tank with all different types of fish and large kelp. Then we went to the the jelly fish exhibit, vanishing wildlife, and the shark exhibit. A lot of the exhibits were to aware people of the dangers posed to these animals by humans. Like how tuna are caught, the overfishing of sharks for their fins and pollution to the ocean. It was funny because after we came out, we just wanted to eat some sushi. hahah.
It took a while but we did finally eat some sushi for dinner. =P
