Shore Acres Elementary

I just found out that I'll be student teaching in a 5th grade classroom in Bay Point. Not sure where it is...near Pittsburgh? It was definitely not my first choice. It's actually the one grade that I really didn't want. And this being my english language placement, meaning that most of the students are non-native speakers, it'll be hard. But challenges will only make you stronger, right? That's what I'll keep telling myelf this year. It probably won't be as bad as I imagine it to be. I'm just use to my little 2nd graders who would do anything for table points and jolly ranchers. I'll have to think of something else for 5th graders. I am looking foward to the curriculum though. I think it's u.s. history and the solar system. fun stuff! Another plus is that school doesn't start until next week. One more week of vacation! woohoo~ What should I do? hmm...try teaching coco more tricks. She already knows how to do sit and shake. We tried teaching her lay down, but she does shake for everything. Soooo cute.
